How to export a list of YouTube videos

There is a way to export your YouTube videos but this isn’t done within YouTube itself, you need to visit Google’s content export tool.

  1. Login to your Google Account
  2. Visit https://takeout.google.com/?pli=1
  3. This will show an entire list of Google services which you can export data from
  4. Click Deselect All at the top of the list
  5. Scroll all the way to the bottom and you will see YouTube and YouTube Music
  6. Click All YouTube data included
  7. Deselect all (if required)
  8. Select the YouTube export content options (i.e. just videos and video metadata)
  9. Proceed to the next stage
  10. In my case, Export Once although you can automate it if necessary
  11. Create Export will now create your YouTube video export file

Using this process, I was able to produce an export of all of my videos from YouTube.

The other nice thing is that you don’t have to sit waiting for the YouTube export as Google will email you when the export of YouTube videos is ready.
